Breast cancer is the 2nd most common cancer in women and will affect 1 in 8 women in the United States.  If detected and treated early, most women can survive breast cancer.  Every October, is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month but we should be aware everyday!

Spread the word about steps women can take to detect breast cancer early.

  • Encourage women age 40-49 to talk to doctors about when to get mammograms.
  • Spread the word that women ages 50-74 should see their doctors regularly and get mammograms every 1-2 years.
